Cocktail shaker, barspoon
Nutmeg or chocolate powder (optional)
- 30ml Tullamore D.E.W. Original
- 90ml Espresso coffee
- 15ml Demerara sugar
- 40ml Cream (Double/heavy, approx 36% fat content)
- Optional garnish Nutmeg
- Pour Tullamore D.E.W. Original, hot coffee and Demerara sugar into an Irish Coffee glass.
- Stir well to ensure the sugar mixes with the coffee and whiskey.
- Shake the cream in a shaker until thickened before layering over the drink.
- Use a spoon to gently layer the cream collar so it stays floating on top.

HOW TO MAKE THE PERFECT Tully Irish Coffee
Pour Tullamore D.E.W. Original, hot coffee and Demerara sugar into an Irish Coffee glass.

Shake the cream in a shaker until thickened before layering over the drink.
Use a spoon to gently layer the cream collar so it stays floating on top.

Preheat the glass to keep the drink warm. If you overshake the cream and it is too thick, add more cream or a cube of ice to reduce the thickness.

Will it taste as good with decaf coffee?
Yes of course, just make sure you buy a good quality decaf coffee and that the coffee is hot and strong.
Can I just add white sugar instead?
Yes you can use your preferred sugar alternative, be it a natural sweetener or whatever household sugar staples you have, honey also works well.
