Tully Sour

This cocktail is perhaps the most popular cocktail worldwide with Irish whiskey. The Whiskey Sour appears to have evolved out of an attempt to avoid Scurvy. But who needs another excuse to drink this delightfully delicious drink? Our smooth whiskey creates a smooth cocktail full of flavour to savour.

Tully Sour

RECIPE

  • 50ml

    Tullamore D.E.W. Original Irish Whiskey

  • 25ml

    Lemon Juice

  • 3 spoons

Apricot jam* or 20ml simple syrup

  • 2 dashes

    Angostura bitters

  • 1

    Egg white or 20ml aquafaba**

Add all ingredients to a shaker. Fill shaker with ice. Then shake it like it’s a polaroid picture. Strain it over ice in a fresh glass that you chilled in the fridge.

* Muddle the jam first to help break it down.
** Aquafaba is simply the juice in a tin of chickpeas that can be strained out and used as an alternative to the egg white.

Top tip: Break the egg into a separate bowl first to ensure no shells get in.
