Just south of the Long Island Iced Tea you'll find the signature Manhattan cocktail, just east of which you’ll find the Irish Manhattan. It’s a very smooth and approachable drink that reflects the Irish experience. Combining ingredients from all over the world, it expresses itself in a distinctly Irish way and is great for summer cocktail parties.

GLASS
Coupe or martini glass
EQUIPMENT
Mixing jug or cocktail tin shaker.
GARNISH
1 Orange peel
ICE
Served straight up, but ice is used to chill and dilute the drink whilst stirring.
INGREDIENTS
- 50ml Tullamore D.E.W. Original
- 15ml Sweet vermouth
- 5ml Luxardo maraschino liqueur
- Dash Of angostura bitters
- 1 Maraschino cherry
- 1 Orange peel
HOW TO MAKE
- Stir 50 ml Tullamore D.E.W. Original, 15ml Sweet Vermouth, 5ml Luxardo Maraschino Liqueur and dashes of Angostura and Orange Bitters together quickly over ice.
- Pour into a chilled coupe glass.
- Zest an orange twist over the surface of drink, spiral and drop into the glass.

Some believe that the first whiskey cocktails were created in the late 1800's when there was plenty of Irish whisky around. Our suspicion is that the Irish Manhattan was invented at this time!
