Cubed ice for stirring and large ice cubes for the finished drink.
INGREDIENTS
- 50ml Tullamore D.E.W. 12 Year Old Special Reserve Irish Whiskey
- 10ml Simple syrup
- 2 dashes Angostura bitters
- Orange peel
HOW TO MAKE
- Begin by adding two dashes of bitters to your glass
- Add 50 ml of Tullamore D.E.W. 12 Year Old Special Reserve Irish Whiskey.
- Add 10ml of your simple/sugar syrup
- Add a handful of ice cubes to your glass and stir for 30 seconds
- Garnish with an orange zest and enjoy!

I usually make this drink with Bourbon? Will it taste different?
Yes, Irish Whiskey has a softer style of sweetness so the drink will have a little more spice instead coming from our pot still whiskey in the blend.
Can I add other type of bitters?
You can tailor this drink to your palate using your favourite flavours of bitters and can even choose your preferred sweetener ingredients.
Do I need to stir it for 2 minutes? I have seen bartenders do this?
The drink is designed to taste amazing with some optimal dilution to elevate some of the aromatic and floral notes in the cocktail. For this reason it is advised to give it a good long stir. 2 minutes is not necessary. After 30 seconds the drink should be close to perfect.
